Uganda Trip by Yourself

Do you travel by yourselves? Budget or mid-budget travelers? Thinking…. What to do in Uganda? How to organize a trip? Is it achievable?

Here you have a proposal to enjoy the best of Uganda. One of our clients, and now friends, did this amazing tour by themselves in a reverse way and honestly it is worthy. This is his planning proposal and his comments. (You can watch their video at the bottom)

1 day: Landing in Entebbe and going straight to Jinja. Take a taxi from the airport to Kampala, and then Matatu to Jinja. Enjoy Jinja Market (very impressive) and surrenders.

2-3 days: 2 days Rafting through the White Nile and camping one night at the bank of the Nile. You can do it with some of the Rafting companies settle in Jinja. I recommend you Nalubale Rafting (www.nalubalerafting.com). We really enjoyed with them and they will take care of you.

4 day: From Jinja go to Murchison Falls National Park (Long way).

5-6 day: Visit the Murchison Falls and then the typical Uganda Safari (Giraffes, Lions, Hipos, etc…). Waterfalls the most impressive.

7 day: Trip to Fort Portal and spend night in Ecolodge-Campsite at the rim of Kifuruka Lake in Crater Lakes (Long way) (25km from Fort Portal)

8-9 days: Visit Crater Lakes Region. Nature Walks, Mahoma Falls, Community Projects (primary and orphaned school), Banana plantations, etc… It’s Awesome!!. For budged and Mid-budget travelers I recommend to spend these days with Emmanuel and their local and professional guides at (www.ecolodge-uganda.com). Also you can visit Ndali Lodge (Great Luxury Lodge) and have a cup of tea in their bar-restaurant; it is half kilometer from EcoLodge Campsite.

10 day: From Eco-Lodge Campsite Tracking chimps at Kibale Forest National Park.

11 day: Safari at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Be sure to do the Kazinga Channel excursion, Really worthy.!!

12 day: Trip to Mghinga National Park and spend night there. I would recommend the community campground site just in front of the National Park gates.

13 day: Climb Sabinyio or Tracking Gorillas (If you have booked in advance)

14-15 day: Trip to Lake Bunyonyi and spend the night in some island. I recommend to book a Geodome at Byoona Amagara (http://lakebunyonyi.net/) you will feel in the heaven.

16 day: Trip to Kampala (Postbus!!) Good experience.

17 day: Spend the day in Kampala, Handycraft market, and take the flight home.

Hope people enjoy the trip!!!
